For those of you who were unable to attend the grand opening event at Sacred Oaks, it was a huge success. We raised over $14,000 for the local charity, Children in Crisis. We received great feedback on the development and are looking forward to a great selling season. The furnished model is open Monday-Friday from 10am-5pm and Saturday from 11am-4pm. If you are in town, please be sure to visit the model.

The 2 model homes will be complete in approximately 8 weeks. Construction of the first custom home has begun. The common area and landscaping should begin in approximately 4 weeks. The pavers in Phase II are being laid and should be complete within a week. We are planning a grand opening extravaganza to introduce the project in mid-May. There will be an auction, food, and live music. The proceeds will benefit the Children in Crisis charity.

The road and infrastructure for Phase I are complete, and construction on the first two spec houses in Phase I has started.

Phase II of Sacred Oaks had run into a slight delay as a result of running the sewer line through the wetland area. In August, the developer received the permit to run the sewer line through the wetland, and today all of the utilities have been stubbed into each lot, the water retention swale has been dug, the contractor will start laying the curb and gutters in January, and pavers should be in place in Phase II in February. Once the roads are completed in Phase II, the entrances into the subdivisions will be built and the road and entrance ways will be heavily landscaped. Further, within the first quarter of 2007, the developer will construct the pool and the bath houses for both Phase I and Phase II.
